A portrait of Yuri Gagarin, Russian cosmonaut, and first man in outer space. A commissions for , one of three, 11x14, charcoal.Titled after his first word following the launch of his Vostok capsule on April 12, 1961, which translates to "Off we go!". He died only seven years later when the MiG 15 training jet he was piloting crashed.

Well, I'm a really distracted worker, so I tend to work for a few moments and then wander off (the dog and my male half are constantly demanding attention as well). I think I started this on... Saturday. So worked on it a bit on sunday night, a little on monday night and tuesday morning before work. Four or five hours maybe? lol, it's so hard to say
