Yeah, the japanese protagonist is named Clarice. She appeared even in a one crossover game made by Jaleco (though her appearance in that game was drastically different, she was blonde and spoke lots of gratituous english) and she also had mobile game under name "City Connection Rocket" where she had a little modernised appearance.

Heheh, nice to hear that up! The crossover game's named "Gunbare! Game Tengoku 2" from Game Tengoku-series. There's even been an OVA done for it here:

Haha great, you were right, she's nothing the same as the original, but still it was fun seeing her "green honda" and the explosion haha.

I also checked ny connection rocket and it's great and funny, now she's got a rocket car that can fly and break through the floor, sadly now she doesn't have to cover all the ground to win the level, and ha the cat's pink.

What's good about this is that you can always reset the game.

Also it is a fortune that cats have nine lives, so the next level could feature it too.
