History:
Born in Canalave City, Taemin was used to the bustling city life. He worked as an assistant for his sister, who was a well known mechanic in the area. He was pretty good himself, but he still never believes that he will live up to his sisters reputation in the new region. Taemin didn't have an arm to begin with, when he was born, due to the birth effect amelia, leaving him with only a stump of his shoulder on his right arm. He lived his first few years with only one arm, which proved to be difficult. For his sixth birthday, his sister gave him the best gift he could even get: A new arm. It wasn't the greatest, but that is what sparked his interest in mechanics and his close bond with his sister.
Every year after that, he was fitted with a new arm, each one getting progressively better. It was a joy, being able to do things like everyone else, although sometimes he forgets that he now has two functioning arms. Along with his sister, who was nine years older than him, his other idol was the gym leader of Canalave City, Byron. He adored steel Pokemon, his family had a pet Aron, and although when he was younger he'd rather have a Purrloin or a Skitty, or a Meowth, he grew a new found respect for Steel types when he watched Byron battle.
Sadly, Taemin never met his idol, but still wishes to be like him, along with his sister.

Taemin soon got tired of living in Canalave City, despite his idols living there and his friends in family, he was looking for an adventure. Most kids went out on their adventures on the age of ten, but Taemin didn't, thinking he had all the adventure he needed in Canalave, but he was wrong. He begged his mother and father to allow him to go on an adventure, and after many weeks of talking, they decided to let him go. With a grin, he departed on a boat, heading to the region of Borealis. Despite being homesick and fearful of getting lost, he could not wait to see what awaited him in this new region.
