I always find the more "glamor" images of Rei to be conflicting. It is rather inappropriate to find a minor (real or fictional) to be attractive, and yet with Rei there is the "clone technicality". And that is completely ignoring the Uber Rei at the end of the movies. Beautiful and utterly terrifying at the same time...
Ah, yes. Rei Ayanami, continuously causing mixed and contradicting feelings amongst NGE fans since 1995.
Now, on to the important part! I've seen pieces similar to this before, but yours has a decidedly solid CG look to it that is very modern. And yet this is photography, which makes it all the more interesting. The fact that you pulled off the feel of an all-digital work with a still life approach should speak wonders about your photographic abilities. Genuinely, this is something that I had to do a double-take on to realize it was a photograph.

Thanks a lot for your informative feedback! I totally agree with what you said about Rei in EoE. I too prefer "darker" images with Rei. If I'm able to, I try to do such pictures, but it's not always easy with figures 'cause many of them are more on the sweet looking side....or look just pretty bad....or both.
If I find a suitable location for a background and have enough time for post processing, I try to let my figure pics look more like a digital work. That fits my personal taste more than a plain figure shot.
