Description   – "We need reinforcements at these co-ordinates, NOW! Initiate operation 'Steel Rain'"
The words had barely sounded off on the comm., before our pods were launched. A massive blast shook the pod I was clasped in. Huge braces kept me in my seat with my back turned against the centre of the pod.
  – "Sarge!" a man from my pod called out in fear on the radio. "We're going to land right in the middle of them!"
I checked my monitor and cursed under my breath. He was right.
  – "MAAAARVELLOUS!"
  – "Time 'til impact, 30 SECONDS!" I cried out, trying to shut Bane up
  – "Sarge, we're not going to last 10 seconds in the middle of that horde! Just look at that mass!"
  – "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! AAAHHAHAHAAAA!"
  – "BANE, SHUT UP!" I shouted, knowing he was right, if the other pods didn't hit their targets.
  – "COMMAND, TRAJECTORY IS OFF! WE'RE PLUMMETING WITHOUT CONTROL!"
Everyone in my pod went silent, except for Bane who wouldn't stop laughing. Drop-pod 3, the one dropping closest to us was failing.
  – "All units be advised, drop-pod 3 is out of the game! Pods 1 and 2; proceed to these co-ordinates after landing!"
  – "AHHAHAAA! IT'S A DISASTER! AAAHHHAAHAAAAA!"
  – "Drop-pod one, copy!" I checked my monitor and saw the path command had laid out to us. Bane just wouldn't stop his diabolical laughter, that crazy fucker.
  – "Sir, will our pod hold?" Raz called on our squads' comm. channel. "I don't want to die in a crash!"
  – "You can't avoid death forever, brother! Our comrades in pod 3 gave their lives so some of us can –"
  – "POD 2, WE'RE HIT, SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL, LOST ALL BREAKING POW-–"*schtz*
At that very moment our pod hit the ground with a huge crash. The outer walls fell open and I saw the battlefield with my own eyes… Pod 2 had crashed and was a smoking pile of rubble right next to us. A bit farther away I saw pod 3, having landed sideways, killing everyone inside it. But what I first noticed was not the pods, not the huge amount of our own men lying dead everywhere, no. But our enemy, all around us. The braces which I was hooked onto my pod broke loose and I rushed out, pulling up my rifle. I saw a lot of soldiers in black armors –that of our enemy's– turn around and aim their rifles at us.
  – "I am his will, manifest... DIE, HERETIC!!!"
