Description ... I was standing around at the big bus-stop after school, waiting for my bus to arrive... All of a sudden, an army truck comes rolling down the road, and stops in the middle of the parking-spaces, and a bunch of guys jump out of it, all armed and armoured. I saw as one of them climbed up on the roof of the truck and took out a megaphone (a "loud-speaker", so to say), so I took off my headphones to listen in! And then, all hell broke loose...... He called out, that the president had been overthrown, and a new president was in her place, and his first command as the president of the country, was to kill or take all the swedish-talking people in the country to jail, for questioning and possible killing as well! Great... All the swedish-talking people were to be killed... The soldiers started running around, asking a lot of questions, and another army-truck arrived. I saw the best course of action would be to haul my ass out of there, while it didn't have any holes in it yet! I started walking calmly away from the trucks and the soldiers, but suddenly one guy called out "HEY YOU! WITH THE HEADPHONES! STOP RIGHT THERE!"....

... I saw myself sitting in a some odd building, with some other people... We were all talking swedish, and we all had standard-issue military equippment on! Even I had! I must've somehow escaped that truck-full of soldiers, and rallied up with other swedish-talking people in the only swedish-talking military-base in Finland... And I was issued some gear, a rifle, and somewhat enough ammo! So, me and a band of about 10 other guys of all ages were sitting there, talking about this nonsense-bullshit about people starting to kill us, just 'cuz of our language!

... I was outside, in the streets of a city. I was kneeling down behind a corner, holding my rifle, with 3 guys behind me. I had some tags on my shoulder! I was a corporal. I took a peek out on the streets, and that's when stuff started to look REAL bad... I saw several soldiers, fighting other soldiers with uniforms that looked a lot alike our own. There was a little crude wall made of rubble and some sandbags across the street. I gave the command to those 3 guys to follow my ass, and then we ran straight to the crude sandbag/rubble -wall. I crashed down next to an officer, 2 of the guys smashed down at the wall in other places where there was room, and the third never made it there. He was just about to make it, when an MG sprayed him full of bullets... Man down, but no time to waste. We looked up, started shooting at different targets we saw here and there. Suddenly, I saw a tank rolling down the street! A finnish tank! I called out to everyone to get down, but it was too late... An immense force pushing me back, ears ringing, blood splattering all over my face... When I came to, I realized I had been unconcious for mere seconds, but I was alive! The officer that used to be next to me wasn't as lucky... I couldn't even locate a whole body-part of his anymore... My helmet had fallen off. In there I saw the 2 pictures of a girl, that I use to keep in my wallet. They were attached on the inside of my helmet. It felt that I was sitting there, looking at those pictures for ages... Then, I finally put the helmet back on, strapped it up, got up and shot 2 more guys down, and made a run for it with the rest of my squad...

... I was back at a some form of building. We were inside a room with windows out to the streets. It was quite quiet! I was sitting there, writing a letter... A guy who was sitting next to me asked why I wrote it in english. "It's going to a girl I know in Canada..." I said, taking off my helmet. "That's her... The only good thing around in this world anymore..." The other guys nodded, knowing what I meant. Suddenly a some sort of courier into the room, while I was writing in the last lines of the letter... "Hugs and kisses from Finland. I'm still alive and well. I'll write you again in 7 days!". The courier came up to me and said that my older bro had got shot real bad, and was at a hospital in Sweden, with my parents and lil bro. I thanked him for the info, and asked him to post the letter, knowing that someone might interrupt with the post-system, and she might never get it... But nevertheless, next week, I was writing her again...

... She was sitting in her bed, hugging a pillow. A letter was in front of her. A tear rolled down her cheek as she folded the letter and placed it with a bunch of others. They were all sent from me... She had no return address, as I was constantly on the move, so she couldn't send anything to me. And I didn't have my phone, so she couldn't even give me a call... She went downstairs and sat down infront of the TV, switched on a news-channel, and watched a report about the civil-war in Finland... On how the finns refused to accept any aid from any foreign countries, but as the "swedes" of finland recieved a huge load of re-inforcements in the form of swedish volounteers. She smiled, thinking that maybe with the help of Sweden, I could make it out alive...

... "It's me! I'm still alive! We're currently laying siege on the capital, trying to take it over, and hoping that once we got that, the finns might surrender!"... I was writing her a letter again... I had been writing her for quite a while! I took off my helmet and glanced at her pictures again. One of them had a bullethole through, and so did my helmet! But the bullet had went through an "empty part" of the picture... Missed her by an inch... Then I scribbled in some final words on the 2nd side of the 2nd paper I was putting in the letter. I told her all about my feelings towards her, and all what I had left unsaid... All that I wanted her to know, before I'd die... Then the whole place got suddenly woken up! We started to hear shootings in the middle of the night! I wrote in the last "I love you, I allways will!", kissed it, put it in the envelope and in my pocket. Then i grabbed my rifle and strapped on my helmet and ran out...

... I was sitting outside on the street, outside the presidental palace of Helsinki. I was writing to her again. We had taken over the capital, and were sitting there, fortifying it as hell! The finns didn't want to bomb the city, 'cuz of its cultural value. This time I concluded a return-address, 'cuz I was staying in the capital for more than 3 weeks...  When she recieved it, she opened it quickly, found out about the return-address, and rushed up to her room to write back. 3 pages, written on both sides, and she even put in a little bandana/scarf -sort of thing... And I wore it every day after that, wherever I went...

... I finally had the chance to use a phone! I called up my parents in sweden, and they were allright! So was my brother! They were relieved to hear from me. Not that big of a wonder, huh? After that call was finished, I called up her. It had been a month since I got her letter. She was over-joyed to hear from me. We talked for 3 hours, until an officer told me to hang up. She squeezed in a last "I love you" before we hung up... And to hear her say that really made my day! I could hear that line for weeks, over and over again in my head... I could remember every part of that phone-call, even as I was out on the field........

... The war was over! I wrote her a quick and short letter to let her know I was alive and well! It had been 7 months of intense battles, and I hadn't written to her in the last month. It was getting too intense in the last few months to write anything at all! I took the first plane possible to Canada. I didn't pack nearly anything at all, just some civilian clothes, and then I ran off to catch the plane.

... A cab dropped me off at a house. I had my military-uniform on, with a bag on my shoulder. It was before noon, the sun was shining, a pleasant weather. No-one had collected the mail from the mailbox, so I took it, and went up to ring the doorbell. A guy opened.... It was her brother. I found out that she was still asleep upstairs. He showed me her door, I opened it, and saw her sleeping there, clutching my last letter with the words "the war's over! I'm coming there!" in it. I could see that her pillow was a bit wet. It seemed that she had cried herself to sleep... I kissed her gently on the cheek, and said softly "wake up" in her ear. She woke up, looked at me stunned, and couldn't believe her eyes. She hugged me, and then we sat there crying, holding onto eachother...

ganska "normal" dröm, om man nu kan säga så... inga ljusröda elefanter eller så...
Å andra sidan enligt S. Freud går vi sömnen igenom alla dagens händelser eller saker som blivit oklarade...jag undrar hurudan dag du har haft!

interesting... usually mine are in colour... maybe everything's a bit more "grey" than the real world, but there's still colour in it all!
