i have seen these wind against tide patterns before, but rarely so well defined. not a good place to be around with a small boat

something like that, indeed. eyes were watering from the strong gale and i almost could not keep the tele lens straight. but those waves
also on the horizon so clearly visible ...
that was Saturday evening. on Sunday morning the chalk cliffs at Dover were clearly visible on the other side,

did you know that an outstanding german photgrapher has been shot dead yesterday in afghanistan yesterday by a policeman ?

yes ! - I read about that yesterday - so sad - an anti western policeman just walked up and opened fire on her and her fellow journalist -- Β but it is a very high risk job to be a photojournalist in such a place - they know the chances they take everyday......................thanks for the link !

certainly so.
maybe i am so moved because she was such a fine photographer (all her pictures are so well composed) and often try to also show a little humor even in the most terrible surroundings.
from the interviews it seems also that she was a nice pwrson, too ..
