projecteducate is hosting a new day-to-day monthly art challenge for ALL artistic mediums: 31 Days of Art.

It so happened that last Monday the 1984 fanatsy film "The Neverending Story" was featured in one of those YouTube reaction videos, and boy, a wave of nostalgia washed over me.
I remember vividly seeing images of the movie at that time and mentioning to my Mom that I really wanted to see "the movie with the flying dog" in the cinema.
Eventually we saw it on VHS as one of the very first movies we rented for our brand new VCR. OOh, the excitement!
I was blown away by the fantastical story, visuals and creatures. Although I was a bit confused when "the dog" turned out to be a dragon (a luck dragon, to be precise), at the end I wished it was me who could fly on the back of Falkor.
How perfect to combine today's prompt with the Smaugust theme!
