Someone asked me to draw Mecha Knuckles for them long ago. I'd never played a game with a mecha Knux in it (just Mecha Sonic), and I wasn't reading the only Sonic Comics available to me at the time so I couldn't see their version if they had one, either (I quit caring for Archie's writting). So I did a search and could only find one semi sideways picture from a game that wasn't released in the US. And that's why this version doesn't look much like any official versions. Good thing he liked it just fine anyway. Lots of people did, actually.
Made with pencils, colored by the selection tool & change color option in PSP, glows on eyes & jet fire were added in PSP also.
Knuckles the Echidna, machanized or not is Property of Sonic Team and Sega

Archie Comics actually did create a "Mecha Knuckles" waayyyyyyy the heck back in 96' or 97'. It was one of many "Sonic-48-pg.-Specials" and this particular one was called "Sonic vs Knuckles: MECHA MADNESS". For an intro backstory you'd have to refer to Sonic issue #39 (damn, I feel old). Both the issues were drawn by legendary Sonic-artist SPAZ, who normally does the covers.
I did a fanart of his Mecha Knux design and it's in my gallery so go check it there if like.

All the bolts lining his body give him an interesting steampunk feel, as opposed to the sleek metal plating usually shown in the comics. Really nice.
