He is striking. When I first saw it I noticed the chickenwire texturing of the flames, and it made me wonder. Is he trapped? He feels trapped to me.

Es la textura natural de la madera?? estΓ‘ muy bien aprovechada... y el contraste es muy bueno!!

Bueno, no, la madera es lisa, macopan para ser exactos, la textura es gesso espeso, directo del envase moldeado con la espatula. Lo demas solo es definir con el oleo pastoso y varias veladuras.
