I've done this a few times, like when I first played Mario Kart Double Dash, and once or twice on the Snes when I was a little girl, I still do it sometimes but on Mario Kart 7, also has anyone ever dodge a few Blue Shells in the games?.......I have on Double Dash, but not on Mario Kart 7.

Now I either press the button right on time and get that starting boost, or I press it too late and everyone passes me

Sometimes I go into Time Trial so I can get a bad start on purpose. Then I pause right at that moment. I'm weird that way.
