working process

After I was commissioned for an artwork of Cordelia I refreshed my memory of awakening as my last run was quite some time ago. Sure I kinda knew Cordelia, I liked her and used her in every battle, I paired her up with Stahl and was just happy about the great movement synergie. And I remember Severa mvp'ing through several maps. Thanks to this commission though I took some time to dive deeper into her backstory, also reading more of the supports I never unlocked, and I was quite caught by her unique character design. Different to a lot of other "generic" lance fliers her life is quite filled with grief, considering her one-sided affection for Chrom as well as her great loss of her pegasus team. I have to admit, I actually never saw her having such a deep character, and I wanted to draw her in a meaningful way. I've tried to capture the character depth of such a woman, while also leave room for different interpretations, surrounded by a melancholic atmosphere. Today it's finally time to show you the result of these intentions, my finished fanart of Cordelia.
