"I looked around, desparately trying to find someone that I knew who could help me. "Mother!"... wait. Mother wasn't here anymore. "Father!" ... neither was he. "Taito-kun! Kaiko-chan! Kikaiko-nee!" ... they were all gone too.

It was then that I realised, for the first time in weeks, that I was well and truly alone. There was absolutely noone left. No friends. No cousins. No brothers, no sisters, no associates that worked with my Father-- No Father... No Mother... No Parents. I was an Orphan. And my supposed "Master" was nowhere to be seen.

What was I going to do?

Well there wasn't much else I could do.

... except cry.

My knees buckled and crashed into the ground. My vision blurred. Tears cascaded down my cheeks, and didn't stop. The cold morning air gripped my throat, as the rain seeped through my shoes and soaked my socks.

I cried, and cried, and cried, as I thought about all the people I'd never get to see again - the people I loved. There were some things I never got to say to Mother, like; "Thank you for always making my bed." or "Thank you for never telling Father when I accidently broke something." And to Father; "Thank you for always buying me presents even when there wasn't a lot of money for the important things."... "Thank you for going to work so that I could have toys and clothes." And I thought about how much I'd miss my siblings. Even Akaito. Even Kikaito. I had nothing. Everything was gone.

... and then a scary thought crossed my mind. I wasn't Shion Kaitou the little human boy anymore. Who was I? I was Project KAITO, the little Cyborg. Not human. Not Robot. But both.

A hand grabbed my shoulder. If I wasn't soo deep in thought I probably would have screamed. "Hello, Kaito. I've found you. Now let's go home."

"I d-don't have a home anymore. It b-burnt down in the fire remember?" I sobbed.

"No. I mean, your new home."

He took my hand and led me away from the lake and across the path to his car.

... well, maybe I wasn't completely alone."

This is part of the back story for Kaito and why he is, the way that he is in my story. If you've read through the top part, then some of you extreme fans *glares at ahem* will probably be all; "DA FAHK MAN?! THAT'S NOT KAITO'S NAME!! AND HE'S NOT A ROBOT HE'S AN ANDROID!! KIKAITO IS THE ROBOT!!" Dya know what Imma say?
