I did not cry cause I was confused. After that I rewatched it...but I think I'm still missing out on a few things so you are welcome to elaborate.

Well I'm not quite sure who killed Mark, but I do know Celine and Damien disappeared on purpose. They disappeared to create confusion. I think that it was Wilford who killed Mark because of his past of killing things. The part with Damien is that he felt like he was betrayed. He was just trying to help and trying to make everything right but it went wrong. Now Damien is just a spirit/persona that needs have control over someone to be a physical being again. And did you ever wonder why Wilford never took killing people seriously? That's because when he killed us, we came back to life and laughed with him like it was a joke. He went crazy from that and now he expects that to always happen whenever he kills someone. He is expecting them to come back so it isn't a big deal if he kills them. Does that help in anyway?

Hoooooly this is messed up! However I think Mark killed himself to steal Damien's body. This is because Damien said something like "This son of a bitch is now walking in my body" and maybe he did disappear cause Mark's spirit trapped him and Celine in the void in where you go after Colonel shoots you. After you "died" Damien manipulated you to get back in your body and get his revenge. And yes poor Colonel went mad after that. Well it's all theories though we can't be sure.

The idea that Mark killed himself to steal Damien's body makes a lot of sense. The way he died doesn't scream suicide but if Mark was going to do that, of course he went over board

What if Mark is the real evil guy? And he's trying to portray Dark/Damien as evil just because of his inflated ego? What if...maybe by letting Dark in he can finally avenge Mark? Of course for all we know, Dark could easily manipulate anyone into getting what he wants, but what if that is the point? So many questions...

Hmmm one last thing. What did the detective (in the last chapter) seconds before being shot mean when he told the colonel "Madness is stealing your best friend's wife, squeezing funds out of him for your sexual exploits with that very woman." It seems like he was refering to colonel himself however I'm not sure who the woman is and who he 'stole' her from. Any ideas?

I am guessing it was Celine. I think she was engaged if not married to Mark. The squeezing funds part, I partially think it was because the Colonel's career went down the rabbit hole when his last expedition went wrong. I am not quite sure about "sexual exploits with that very woman", but it does make you wonder why the colonel was never in the same room with Celine except when we first meet her.

basically, you were invited to a poker game, and in the morning mark is "dead". later in the advancement, we meet celine, and talk to a groundskeeper. celine and Damien(mayor) vanish, and the colonel and detective have a face-off. colonel shoots detective, and accidentally shoots you. you are with Damien and celine in the void. celine brings you back, Damien and celine residing in your body. the colonel goes insane, becoming Wilford warfstache. you pick up the cane, and look into a mirror. you are a shell of a man that once was. mark stole the other body, Damien's, running around in it, pretending.
