Link from Oracle of Seasons.
I got some (purportedly) 300gsm art paper that was sold at half the usual price ... what a bargain! ... or maybe not! It ended up a sopping mess when I tried watercolour so I've been trying other media.
I found the smooth side works beautifully with colour pencils and can handle enough water for watercolour pencil. Within limits. This was a quick test with Crayolla watercolour pencils.
BTW even though Crayolla colour pencils are pretty ordinary, I'm very pleased with the watercolour variety. The main thing missing from the set is a skin tone. I could mix it from primaries of course but was easier to borrow one ready-made from another set.

I never played Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages but I read the English translation of Akira Himekawa's manga and was so impressed with the artwork that I made a couple of paintings:
