Thanks to a comment here, I rotated the image 90 degrees to the right. I think it looks much better now


I shot this yesterday while I was at a park near my house. The bridge is a little walkway over the Huron River.

These images start out as a 360 degree panoramic, going about 90 degrees up and down. So that means that I shoot from the sky down to my tripod legs, so the bottom of the panoramic has a lot of my shadow and the camera legs in it. Which means I did A LOT of work on the center of the image to get rid of my shadow and my tripod. But I think it worked out pretty well.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Damn First of all, nice work on editing out the shadow/tripod. For a second I was wondering how the hell you managed to get that shot (what the hell was he standing on) then read your description and had a "oh... duh" moment.

Anyway, this really does look like a tiny little planet. This is awesome. Great capture

Yeah, I usually spend a while editing out the tripod. Most of the time it's easy since I'm standing on gravel or something simple, but for this one it was hard since there was a lot of tricky board work to cover up the tripod.

This is excellent, brilliant choice of location for this shot, I love the way the bridge flows round this image. Very nice, I'll definately be checking the tutorial.

Haha, well I just updated it. It's 90 degrees to the right now.

But yeah, it did look a lot like an eye before

i think this would be a little better if you rotated it ninety degrees. otherwise, its amazing

Hmm, you may be right. I tried it 90 degrees rotated, but for some reason I liked this way better. But I just tried rotating it, and I think you're right
