I really wanna get out of intro to art in high school (hopefully they accept digital art???) and the only way to get out is with shading... so i drew an eggRelated content

I really like this. The highlights are a bit messy but not everything has to be smooth.

This looks really nice and I actually thought it might be a photo from the thumbnail. I think it could be improved tho. Mainly, I think the brushwork should be more consistent. You have the yolk mostly as a soft gradient, then you have some pretty hard edge brush strokes for the highlights. Simply put, the highlights should have softer edges. Also, they should follow the roundish shape of the yolk more. Also, I feel like it's a bit boring because of that, don't get me wrong tho! I like the minimalist approach you took. I'm just saying that a plain gradient is boring to look at, it would be great if you would render it a little further and have some brushwork all over the yolk, maybe over the white part as well so they're more pleasant to look at. Another thing, I feel like a shadow is missing. Where the yellow turns orange, right on the edge there should maybe be a darker very thin shadow where the light reaches the least, not sure tho.
