I like how this turned out!
I had some kind of a vision of this in my head and had some trouble to make it turn out right – but finally, I got it how I wanted it. This is the original picture: [link]
I used ~Kencho s bat brushes for the background and the shapes for tattoos and the glitter bats on the top hat. You can find them here: [link]

Ah, honestly, I cannot say where I learned from.. most of the techniques, I more or less stumbled across while playing around with Photoshop. I've never taken any classes or courses, though.

no no you're totally fine haha! i rarely have internet access anyway. 
yeah, that's totally understandable. Photoshop is.. augh. it's so hard for me lol. i'm pretty good with traditional mediums, which is why i'm having trouble with my transition to digital, haha. but i keep pushing myself, even though i sit there and sometimes totally hate it, heh.
the way you've improved is phenomenal, and your artwork now is completely stunning.
