I like the blues you added, it gives it great depth in the picture, great choice. Perhaps you could have done that to the ears too, I am not sure though... the ears are good to so I'm not sure if that would have wrecked them.

The dog was so black that it looked more like blue than brown (as it usually does) so it seemed natural to paint it so blue. My mother thought it looked very surrealistic and not as a realistic portrait, but I think it makes the picture. There is some blue in the ears too, I don't know if it shows so much, the scanner takes away a bit...
