Description
ISEE-3, the probe that lived twice. Launched in 1978, the probe was the first object to enter a halo orbit around a Lagrange point, L1. Its first mission explored the magnetic interactions between the Earth and Sun. In 1982 it was repurposed to study comets and renamed the International Cometary Explorer. In its new guise, the probe flew through the plasma tail of comet Giacobini-Zinner and joined the armada of probes sent to study Halley's comet.

It also used this funky blue metal that I'm in love with.
