First of all, my deepest condolences for your loss. Β He is now in a better place, but you, like the rest of us, remain here to suffer more.
I can see so very much allegory in this, your work. Β I love your use of so many hues of blue in this work. Β "Being blue", of course, refers to being sad, which you are. Β I very much like the overall layout of this work: the pathway (pathway of life) winding from the hillside on the left closer to us, then away, out into the valley, & disappearing into the fog (the unseen future). Β I love your solitary, slightly leaning tree on the left, losing leaves (signifying your loss). Β I can see the solitary figure out there on the pathway as being yourself, alone & not knowing what comes next, since the fog obscures the future. Β The black bird soaring overhead may represent Fate, & that rising (not descending) comet may represent your loved one ascending to the next world (represented by that distant planet in the sky), where he will watch over you. A very beautiful & touching piece of work. Β I would print, frame & hang this one. Β All the best to you.
