I intentionally left that open for interpretation. In my view, she either threatened or tricked him into a salon, then forced him to continue obediently through the rest of the process after taking some compromising photos. Either way, the motivation was because the son was a brat and the step-mother would prefer a prim and proper daughter

It's funny...I assume you're referencing the final line in the cap, which ironically I kind of came up with as a throwaway line that concludes the story. I also like that little hint of naughtiness, but it definitely wasn't the main focus of the cap (intent was to be about rowdy boy turning obedient).
