Description The Princess Tutu LJ Community had a virtual Secret Santa exchange this year. It officially ended on December 29th.

Unfortunately... Almost a full month later we still have a few MIA Secret Santas. So I volunteered to help fill in. I've now played replacement gifter for two of the people without gifts. I'm going ahead and posting them on DA, because, well, I can. Besides, I think my new giftees aren't on DA... probably.

This was drawn for lira_kraunik .

It was a warm summer day. The sun was shining, flowers were in bloom, and not a single cloud shadowed the sky.

If I hadn't been one of the ones to help end it all, I never would have believed... that only a short year ago... the final battle against the Monster Raven had occurred within this walled town. It had been Kinkan Town then. But, once the stories had been mended, it wasn't that. Drosselmeyer had written them all into a shadow of reality. A facsimile of one of the last walled cities of Germany, Nördlingen.

So hard to believe. Somehow... By some incomprehensible miracle I was able to fix the story of every single person in Kinkan Town and merge us back into Nördlingen. Only Autor and I remember now. Remember everything that happened. What came before, the final battle, the months we spent repairing everything. No one else remembers Kinkan Town. But there still exists a school, the Gold Crown Academy for the Arts, and one little ballerina student there. Hah. One little joke of a ballerina, with flame colored hair and eyes the color of the deepest lake.

Autor agreed I deserved one piece of happiness after everything. Helped me plan the outline for the story that made her human again. She's still clumsy, and too optimistic, and we always argue... But she's here. With me. And she doesn't have to deal with any of the horrible memories of the time inside Kinkan Town. And I think, she might even be starting to love me back. Without the memories of Mytho to compare me against. And, I suppose, I have been pretty stubborn about staying by her side. But I promised.

I caught the ropes of the swing, forcing it to stop. "Skipping classes again Ahiru?"

"The teacher was being really mean to me again today!"

"It's because you're not improving fast enough moron."

"You don't have to rub it in!"

"I could give you private lessons again."

"No way! Do you know how humiliating it is to have someone from the literature track teaching me ballet?!"

"I guess not. But it's so fun."

Love the story with this. It really help complete the picture. I like how you decided only Fakir and Autor remember the past and not Ahiru. I think that's the best and quite original considering everyone who brings back the human Ahiru always have her remember the sorrow and pain. Not that that's bad 'cause I like that too, but this hasn't been done soo yeah. It's awesome.

Thanks! There's a few stories that take her memories away, but getting them back is always part of the story. I can see Captain OverProtective wanting to spare her the pain, and believing he'd never have a chance as long as she remembered Mytho (the dense idiot that he is).

Really? This is the first time I have come upon her memories being taken away, but you're probably more along in-character lines 'cause we all know he would so do that just for that reason alone. xD

Hehe. Like I said, I've seen it, but its usually by Drosselmeyer or random new bad guy A.

I just like keeping the idea of Fakir being imperfect. He tells himself its just because he doesn't want her to have painful memories, but a big part of it really is he doesn't think he could compete with Mytho for her love. Maybe I sould post all my little one shots I do with deviations on ff.net?

Oh really?! Hmm...that sounds interesting.

Well that's what makes PT so awesome because they seem...well human. So they're heroes and all that stuff, but each character has flaws. That's one of the main reasons why I love PT. :3

I'd love to see those one shots. Pretty please with a double-cherry on top?

Yeah, the one linked on the Club-Tutu ongoiing works is a case of that in fact.
Man, if I ever took the time to write anything longer than a one-shot this one might be worth elaborating on.

No kidding. Flawed characters are more loveable! That's why we fangirls like our angsty bishies!

It's just the ones you've seen before with my art on here. ButI did go put them on FF yesterday. In fact, this very one was plagiarized within hours of being posted. I already contacted the FF.net support team and got it removed. ;
