Here's my current demo reel. I'll be sending this to the head of outreach tomorrow. I had an interview with her today that went very well. I told her I finished a new shot the other day and asked if I should send her an updated reel. She liked the sound of that and will be expecting the reel on Friday.She told me not to accept any other job offers without speaking with her first. Hopefully the Dreamworks heads of character animation will like my work as much as she did, since they're the ones who make the decision.
Working on How to Train Your Dragon would be unbelievably awesome since I LOVE dragons!

Its called Dead Already, from the American Beauty soundtrack. They also used it in Madagascar during Alex's dream sequence.

I took many animation classes in collage. It wasn't my focus, but I always enjoyed them. Your reel has tempted me to go make some kind of animation myself! I use 3ds Max though, not Maya. The custom build rigs I've seen for max aren't as cool as the Maya ones. I guess I can always make my own!

They supply a small scholarship for students who submit a portfolio. There are more that you can apply for once you become a student there but they require essays. You weren't able to get a loan?

Yeh man. I am in awe of the guys that do it. I wish I had the cash and the guts to take part. Been a while since I have done 2D animation and I would have loved to have learnt CG.

Oh hey this looks really well put together. One suggestion is you should cut out the credits to your senior film, especially since this is a demo reel also I would see if you could cut your music from your senior and use the music that you were using and just have the sound effects of the cat with it. I don't know what you used to composite your movie but one way of getting rid of the sound from your film is putting it in Premiere and deleting the sound file that goes with the movie file. I wish you the best of luck!!! I hope Dreamworks totally sees how amazing and talented you are.

That's really exciting! LoL The catflap one is still one of my faves; GREAT collection of work, man. You'll totally go far. I dunno about the sound cuts though, how the music just cuts in and then cuts out for the next pics, especially at the end, it feels cut off. But other than that, the content rocks!
