I had some free time. Just enough to do this.

Another Land Before Time picture. This time not from Retold (despite it being in the Retold folder).

Instead, it's of my two favorite characters, and their awesome brotherhood.

Seriously, I love the brotherly relationship between these two. It's just so wholesome and genuine.

And I have to say that Chomper is absolutely adorable, and is my favorite character. "Great Valley Adventure", he is so cute and is half the reason to watch that movie. "Mysterious Island" he is emotionally mature and proves his loyalty to his friends. And in the TV show, some of the best episodes are the ones featuring him. I want to see more of him in the future.

Don't get me wrong, Littlefoot is a fantastic character as well. Like Chomper, is an emotinally mature kid, and I can see why he's the main character and defacto leader of the Gang. What appreciate most about him is that despite being the main character, he doesn't have to be the focus all the time. Good example being "Day of the Flyers" or "Stone of Cold Fire". And when he is the focus character, he has the drive and energy to move the story forward.

Put the two together, and you've got a strange and wonderful friendship between two seemily different people. Or dinosaurs in this case.

And to quote Phil Collins, "Two worlds, one family".

I'm still getting used to drawing animals. The Land Before Time characters at least have the advantage of having scales instead of fur. That makes it a little easier because they are made up of basic shapes that can have details added onto them. And Chomper and Littlefoot have similary shaped heads, the only differences being that Chomper's snout is a little longer and thicker. Not to mention he has more teeth than Littlefoot. But that ends up making his smile look bigger.

Anyway, I just had to draw this. I love unlikely friendships, and I love these characters. I hope that Universal makes a movie focusing on their friendship. Or Chomper's origin story of how he got to the Great Valley. I need that story!
