In spite of her clumsy nature, Anika is actually rather quick on her feet. As she says it, "a good posture and form is required when handling a weapon like the musket." Her turns sharp and steady, she fights mainly through the blunt force of her gun (z) and bullets (x). There's a slight lag when she's directly using her gun to attack, swinging it around and hitting her opponent in different places before knocking them down with a single shot. Unfortunately, she doesn't hold too much physical strength herself, evident when you look at her small physique. As a result, it's hard for her to fight at a melee range as she does much better from a more defensive stance. There isn't much "weight" in her attacks, but overall she's quite balanced.

Anika was born and raised in the village of Elder by her father, a figure who she heavily depended on due to the absence of her mother- whom she barely holds any memories or knowledge of. To the extent where sometimes it may feel as if her memories are fabricated, it's something that weighs on her mind every now and then. However, it's rarely ever brought up as a means of not straining the current relationship she has with her only family. Unsurprisingly, her bond with her father is strong and healthy; the two not being very different from each other in terms of energy and core character. She looks up to her father a great amount; a legendary pirate with various achievements behind his name- though, she's unsure as to why he'd decided to discontinue his voyages. Nevertheless, his influence has become a primary reason for her desire to explore the world and become a representative of justice.

One day, Anika's father had disappeared without a word. Though concerned, she'd tried not to fret upon the sudden occurance due to similar past incidents (the difference being a letter or two), but as weeks passed by without his return, what used to be mild worry became full-on anxiety. Around the same time, news of a legendary town revealing itself to the world began to circulate in Elder. Hearing this, Anika suspected that- knowing him, her father might as well have gone to look for this so-called legendary town... Hell, he might've already been there.

Despite strong objections by the townspeople of Elder, it was Hoffman's advice and guidance that gave her the courage to begin her conquest. Though mainly driven by her search for her father, Anika eventually came across the town of Elbor and ran into the Elremeant party. Fully aware that she wouldn't be able to get anywhere by herself, she willingly made the decision to accompany the Elremeant party as both a means to find her father and fulfill their goals. After all, restoring the El sounded quite heroic, and if the myth of the El granting whatever wish to those who came across it were to be true, then perhaps joining the Elremeant party would mean a lot more to her than she had initially thought...

Though many comment that her character doesn't fit quite well with the image of a typical pirate, she continues to maintain her somewhat innocent persona and denies the rather...crude comments made about fellow pirates; since her image of pirates is based around her father whom she believes is the ultimate figure of righteousness. In a way, she's stubbornly optimistic to the point where it could be considered a fault; her naivety at times putting her in tight situations. Furthermore, contrary to the barbarious natures of pirates, Anika is actually polite towards everyone she meets and even a bit easily flustered should the situation be awkward. Because of this, several have described her to be clumsy in more ways than one- a trait she's well-aware of and determined to resolve. Unfortunately, it hasn't been going too well for her as she often lets her carelessness slip and get the better of her when it comes to serious situations. In the end, however, she's still your typical heroine. Much more sensitive than she seems, her mood changes rather quickly and allows for easy discouragement unless you were to provoke her in such a way that she'd fight back. Otherwise, making her sad on purpose is highly discouraged.
