Description
This is OC Yumi. She's very quiet, shy and a peaceful girl who loves to read and look after all things living, from plants to insects. She has the power of ice.. I guess that's why I drew her in the snow? :L I dunno. Anyways, she's just one of seven I need to draw as part of this magic school series I'm doing.
This is the first piece I solely used the tablet for. Usually I draw on paper and scan it in to make the lineart, but I decided to challenge myself >< Eh using a tablet after so long is hard work OTL. I'm getting the hang of it though I think.
I decided to make this more of a painting instead how I usually colour using blocks. I need to work on hair D; But other than that.. after hours of work I'm giving up D;

You can really see her personality through the drawing (she looks pretty quiet and shy!). I really like the overall color scheme too. Nice job!

I love the design of your OC best, she looks just too cute 
The outfit suits her very well, though your drapery might need some work still(The coats material does not look convincing). Another thing is the wind you indicate while having your Yumi's hair float which supports the liveliness in the image. It bugs me that the snowflakes don't follow the direction of it, but dropping slowly... because we get the impression thats a pretty strong blow of wind at the moment. A solution would for example be to stretch them a little into the winds direction and have more of them in the right picture half. Or leave the hair dropped naturally, when you don't like having the wind shown through other elements too.
The background leaves everything very balanced and let us totally focus on the main character, too.

Thanks for all the help. This was my first attempt at a sort of 'painting' approach to my art ORZ. I suck at colouring clothing! Ah the snow. Thanks for that! I will remember that next time. Details like that escape my notice x]
