There was a time, a long long time ago, that I used to work traditionally and paint over the sketch digitally, and, tbh, I always enjoyed the outcome of it~ I know it is somewhat "lazy", but as I spend a lot of time on the black&white version, I think I need a little slack if I just want to add a little bit of color to it without having the risk of ruining the whole traditional piece <':

I used to like doing it, digital paint over classic pen work. It wasn't out of laziness, but practicality - the scanner never got the colors bright enough, or I would spend loads of time fixing it. Weird is, now that I do complete digital out of necessity as my scanner broke, I still like the tradition+digital way more than I like other methods. So keep at it, it takes nothing away from your skills, it most likely adds to it instead.
