Powerful and elegant composition Gene !! You gather skills and wonder, you can captivate us with so different themes, and they are all bathed by your solar, unique, charismatic and indelible essence : all that u touch become Gold. This is called Magic Gene !! Outstanding work !!! The composition is well balanced, and the verticallity has a strong visual impact !!! Your base is really well realized : this intense light of the rocket taking off, is poping on the city which is by the way subtly painted in the deepest shadows; I love how you captured the light to make each building so alive thanks to the silver, even pearly effects on the windows, great contrast at first glance !! The vaporous clouds accompany the smoke as if they were stairs, because our glance goes up, following the rocket speed, and you highlight it twice in a smart way : once, in the middle with the spectacular rainbow that creates a spiral melted and directly linked to the surreal light circles effects that hypnotizes us few seconds, before catching up the second hightlight which is behind the rocket itself : the magestic moon that plays hide and seek with the clouds. This ascendant effect works in parallel with the colors scheme, because the cold hues make us reach the warmer ones, and that enables also to lift our glance. I love the soft pastel palette colour that honor the elegance of the scene, without any false note, just is all well orchestrated, well calculated, to make all the elements walking hand in hand, in a perfect harmony and balance. And your final details, “last but not least“ : a starry night that welcome in a refined way the rocket, with mystery saphir shades that enhance well the moon.
