Description FOR WINDOWS XP

A set of icons I made/put together to use with My "Seven EFi Midnight" theme for WinXP. Based mainly on the Vista Aero Glass folders. I used this with the small iColorFolder 1.4.2 program. Once the programme is installed the folder inside the zipped file (Vistard EFi) should be placed in the skins folder at the default location of C:\Program Files\iColorFolder\skins.

Alternatively, just rip out the icons with your favourite icons extractor.

Icons themselves come in four flavours of True Colour:- 48x48, 36x36, 24x24 and 16x16 (flat view) except for number 8 (the default icon) which has the 96x96 thumb view as well.

I just found these a great aid for ripping through Explorer Windows as I used to make colour trails to the important folders!!

MY APOLOGIES TO ANYONE WHO DOWNLOADED BEFORE 22.30 GMT on 23-03-10.
The file I originally uploaded was not as depicted in the preview. I stuck the old Vistard EFi in the zip file in error.

It's great. May you made "icon folder in win10" for icolorfolder? I try to contact to KemenAran (developer's icolor folder) but he stoped this software and I can't found his email

Will these work with Windows 7? I got real bored with Windows 7 default themes(as beautiful as they are,)and patched the uxtheme files(I miss XP with its single UXTheme patch... and no hassle) and got Reaper S7n™ which is pretty badass, and Im trying to customize my 7 like I did with XP, except theres not alot of cool and unique themes like in XP. I gotta replace all the System Icons, etc.
So basically yeah, will these work with 7?

Hi Photonooblett

You can drop the icolorfolder.dll file anywhere in your system you know you won't move it You then extract them using the normal Windows 7 method of changing icons.

I can't get the programme iColorFolder to run on my Win 7 64 bit system using any method available, although to be honest, you don't need it in Win 7.

The only other downer is that these were set up specifically with WinXP in mind and so they don't contain the 256x256.png format icons needed for the larger icon views, the largest contained here is the 48x48.

These could be added to each icon quite easily using reshacker or restorator then adding the large format (png) icon individually to each (I use IconWorkshop) and then re-packing.

I'm currently changing bits and pieces in Windows 7, I've set up the open and closed folder icon, the "in use" folder icon and the "live" folder icon as icon #8 in this set. Why the green aero style when I prefer me blue set up I don't know ! I've also upgraded a few of the others.

If you're interested I could upload some of the original png files or even the new completions as and when I've done them.
