I know that feeling all too well I'd be intending to make artwork of other anime or even other hellsing characters and I'd start on it and then SOMEHOW miraculously it ends up being a Young Walter / YWxGC drawing I just dunno how that works really LOLOL

you know I was actually surprised by that part of the comment I mean I knew that they were finally releasing OVA 8 and then I saw that bit about The dawn and I was thinking .. "What in the world is she talking about??!! O_O;;" then I saw a Journal entry right above mentioning the same thing and it had a link and well .. I died and went to paradise so to speak

but yes I am SOOOOO excited (if you couldn't already tell LOL)

Its such a waste that you're watching it in English only .. I love both the sub and dub versions both work really well for me (or maybe im just a greedy bastard LOL)

I usually just come up with an idea of the sort of drawing I want to draw, a pose or a coloring style, and then run with it. Lately I have a general picture in my mind's eye, which I'm finally able to somewhat achieve, but there's always an x factor...

Huh I don't know... maybe I should start updating my journal with a link to this thread every time I get some tasty Hellsing infoz... Although you don't use your gaia anymore, I could try featuring your artwork in the "gallery" portion of the tread if you wanted...

I've watched OVAs I-IV in dubs and subs, and I agree! Both casts are amazing (although Joji Nakata is good, though, I don't necesarilly like his Alucard as much...). I just prefer the english dub and want the first experience to be as good as possible. ^^

Yeah, it's really disappointing. I also heard that the OVA franchise wasn't doing too well in America, although IDK how true that is... might have something to do with those DUB DELAYS.

That's true... I can come up with drawing ideas which work about... 50 percent of the time lol. But I'm not really a drawer artist, drawing's just something I do, I'm definitely more of a writing artist, but in that case I can never come up with an idea that sticks. I just keep scrapping ideas...

No, it really wouldn't, I could just link to your dA. You can give me links to a few of your favorite hellsing fanworks by you and I'll put them in the gallery... might as well fill up that section. ^^

Yeah, the sub voices tend to be deeper, I've noticed, which befits a lot of characters, but I prefer a little nasalness (not like, whining, but a higher pitch) most of the time...
Yeah, I'm probably just being ridiculous... but this is the choice i've made so I'm just sticking to it. >.<

well scrapping an idea is easy, Sticking to an idea is super tough though >_<

.. I don't really have any particular favorites .. except that grab my meme that one still gives me stitches everytime I see it .. you can pick whatever you see fit I guess :'3

lol I'm not really picky about how the voice itself sounds I tend to be more picky about how the voice goes well with the character or not .. I mean when i watched the Dawn Episode I was thinking .. Ahhh Walter sounds SO .. feminine (I think it was the same voice actor for Ciel from Kuroshitsuji) .. it worked on Ciel but I'm still getting used to it on Walter .. I really expected him to at least sound like a guy X'DDDD

LOL it's Japan's fault though if they'd make their releases a bit faster they'd make everyone happy no exceptions.

That's very true, a "sexy" voice on its own doesn't do much for me. It's just that deep voices tend to be more... generic to me... nasalness gives a little more personality/depth (ironically) to cahracters for me since it adds texture and more differences. Haha, having the VA for Ciel do Young Walter sounds like such a good idea in theory... I won't be seeing dawn for a bit, though, so we'll see. It'll be interesting to see how they do it in the dub....

ahh when I heard Walter's voice I thought my head was gonna blow up.. I was sooooo terribley disappointed you have no idea TT___TT .. I mean dont get me wrong I loved how Ciel sounded like but I dunno it FIT him.. Walter on the other hand .. ahh I dunno I mean Ciel is a mushy character imo he acts tough but he's really weak either way.. Walter on the other hand ... well that goes without explanations Ahh I really wanted him to have a manlier voice for some reason but not necessarily as deep as Alucard's (lol that would be freaky)

I totally wanna see the Dawn Dubbed (first time I actually look forward to a dub XD) .. I'm almost certain he'd have a more fitting Voice X'D

DDDD,: Yeah, when a guy's voice gets too girly in an anime I'm like... wai. Like, I get it, they look like girls, but that's more for lulz and isn't that appealing when taken to that extent. Anyway, he doesn't act girly at all, frankly he acts more manly than girlycard in dawn. ^^

I'm pretty sure that won't happen for the english dub. Someone asked the director if they were going to have Crispin do girlycard and he was like "*snort* no." the and again, I have what girlycard's voice should sound like... girlycard didn't seem that girly to me in the manga for some reason and somehow i'm not that weirded out by the trailer? it makes sense to me? but I think I'm weird...

Girlycard isnt THAT girly .. its just a way to identify her from the actual alucard (I just like to make her feminine thats a different story lol)

that trailer was weird .. the guy that kept got killed was annoying LOL

Also Girlycard didn't make an appearance in the dawn cuz the episode is like a 9 minute feature so far they didn't reach a part where Girly makes an appearance

Haha I think a lot of fans do. ^^ And yeah, that guy, I'm sure it makes a lot more sense in japanese, but there have been similar trailers released before... it's sort of in the Hellsing style of humor, I guess lol.

I guess the worst part for me was just the first shock Girlycard for me has always been a feminine figure so its hard for me to accept that she has Alucard's extremely male voice (yum ) but yea you get what I mean

Hellsing's humor is .. original that I can agree on .. it doesn't follow your generic type of anime humor and thats what I like about it I guess

D'aaaw thaaaanks. My background's heavily based off of hers, of course... so I'm pretty surprised. I like the colors I used more, but hers had more of that... texture.
that's pretty interesting... it was defs the easiest and a fun part to draw... I really want to learn how to draw sexy slim suits properly. It's such a drawing staple, but I just realized I never got around to it.

ahahahah looooool. I like... I write words that aren't even spelled remotely similarly but just sound the same. Like my typoes don't even make sense... I did a really bad one this morning but don't remember it (for example, I just wrote "doesn't" instead of don't and like... didn't notice it at all. like, where does my mind go when I'm typing (just wrote "mine" instead of mind and "where" instead of "when... actually really bothering me...)

INAPPROPRIATELY REMINISCENT OF ALUCARD.
suits have to be tailored to be sexy, but the thing with suits is that if they're TOOO slim they can look hipster, they have to be slim enough to be either dapper or just a tad rockstar-y. I LIKE HAD A NOSEBLEED BECAUSE DANNY WANTED TO GET THE MEN OF THE SCI OLY TEAM ALL TO WEAR NAVY BLUE SKINNY TIES AND I WAS LIKE :,D. BUT THEN DANNY WORE HIS AND I COULDN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE.
