Description *Ahem* Gentlemen?

This is just a bit of fun I thought up a few days ago (doubtless others have had the same idea as I have), and by no means a 'serious' art piece, like my other things, but I still thought I'd share it with you all. It'll probably be scrappified, or at least removed from Featured soon, but for now it can stay, I suppose. For those who don't get it, it's a pseudo-historical version of Team Fortress 2, with some anachronisms thrown in for flavour.

From left to right:

The Pyro was done with a Saracen theme, not really sure why I chose that, it just suddenly leapt into my head. He's wielding a big-ass torch and has a scimitar on his hip.

For another reason I have no knowledge of, I gave the Engineer a Roman theme. I was going to go for a medieval serf look, but then that'd be too easy. I also thought of swapping the regular hatchet he wields now for a fasces, but I don't feel like going through the whole discussion with idiots who confuse fascism with nazism.

The Spy is French in the original game, and I kept him that way too. His hat is the typical French triangular hat, and his clothing and hairdo is also typically French. He has a bit of a highwayman theme now, which I think fits very well.

How could I give the Heavy any other theme than a Viking one? Seriously? That was a no-brainer. OK, so prehistoric caveman would also have been an option, especially considering the Heavy's cerebral "prowess".

The Sniper wears a standard medieval footman get-up, but the crossbow he wields is atypical to the rest of his outfit - it's a Chinese repeater crossbow, which, if you research it, you will find out really did exist.

I quite like the Scout's jester theme, complete with two-fingered staff jesters used to carry for mocking the king's royal sceptre.

The Soldier wears late-medieval Gothic full plate armor (although it's a fantasy version, regular full plate was less enormous as this one), and wields a two-handed flamberge.

What makes Demoman a good alchemist? If he were a bad alchemist, he wouldn't be standin' there, discussin' it with ye, now would he?!

The Medic has a typical German Renaissance outfit, complete with ruff and... umm... those puffy, frilly things at the joints. I thought of making him a medieval chirurgeon, but this way there's more historical periods involved.

Comments are, as always, appreciated, but there's no need to critique this as it wasn't really an all-that-serious piece, and I didn't put as much detail and planning into it as I normally do. Ah well, at worst it was a good exercise in poses
