I'm still not very good at drawing, but the key is to get a lot of practice. Try drawing from pictures you like, and start off by copying them. You'll learn tricks and certain things from copying artists. Draw a lot of your own pictures using the tricks you've learnt, and use reference if needed.
This particular picture was done using copic markers, but any tool (traditional or digital) just similarly requires a bit of practice to get used to and get better. Try reading some tutorials on how to use different mediums if you can't decide which to use. Soon you'll develop your own style in drawing and favourite colouring method

but u're like colouring in copic.. =3= were u using bleed proof paper? or VA diary?? O.o i still wouldnt try to use the bleed proof paper for copic yet... =3=
it looks really good to be a doodle...i take ages b4 i start to colour.... hence i only have lineart.

Yeah, I got bleed proof paper from Eckersleys. I think not using it wastes too much of the copic ink, and it's hard to control where the ink ends up. I still need plenty of practice with copics >_<

thanks.. but i like urs better that is more manga style thin lines better... yeah yeah i got them too.. just havent touched them... all my line work is like done on a 150 gsm visual diary... n not good for copic at all.. but then if i can print the line work out on bleed proof paper n colouring with copics.. n hope the printed ink wouldn't merge with teh copic... i would try colouring copic... copic is so $$$ to test on anything.. =3=
