No telling what these eyes have seen throughout her short life but I can guarantee her that she'll only see love from here on.Unfortunately, Zoey ended up snarling at Colt so she found a new home with older children and she's much happier for it!

I took her off the streets two weeks ago tomorrow. She almost got hit by a car and was thin and infested with ticks.

I live in 'redneck territory' where hog hunters dump their dogs right and left. It's so sad.
I've had a little brindle pit bull puppy dumb on our property.
Probably some hoghunters dog had pups and he couldn't get rid of that one.
He was SO sweet and gentle.
I was so upset when we had to find him another home 
I have a Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix, that my dad rescued at 3 months old. She's amazing. Rescued dogs are some of the best dogs ever.
They act like you're the best thing that's ever happened to them. (which is generally true)

We live in a huge dog dumping area as well. It looks like she weaned off pups about a month ago so I'm assuming she had pups and they dumped her because they didn't want to get her spayed or deal with it anymore. Soon she'll be getting her shots and spayed and living out the rest of her life as a pet. I just wanted to fill out her personality and get some weight on her before we decided anything official. But we're in love. It's sad that people can't/won't take responsibility of their critters. Horses are getting so bad in the area that a lot of people are just giving them away.
I love mutts and I've had a lot over the years and they are good dogs.

I've heard of people just shooting them, instead of getting them fixed.
My dad sells medicine to vet clinics all over East Texas and I go with him sometimes.
It's nice to see that some people still care about their animals.
And there are so many horses chained to trees around where we live.
It's sick.

I want to mainly focus my rescue on Pit Bulls and other bully breeds that are misjudged.

I'll take in whatever dogs I can if I can ever get one together. But from the statistics I've read over 30% of all dogs in need of rescue are pit bulls. So sad that people misunderstand them. Zoey is a pit mix and so far she's been amazing! My friend owns 2 pits and they're a couple of the best dogs I've ever known.
