Entry to Mega Crisis Contest

Species: Mega Nephirin (evolved from Nephirin )

Type: Grass / Fairy / Flying

Pokedex Entry: Often regarded as a myth due to their rarity to humans, Mega Nephirin are guardians that protect entire ecosystems. The plants on their body now overgrown, they have precise control over flora and are able to grow out their flowery vines to manipulate objects around them. Vegetation will sprout when they are nearby and trails of white petals are left in areas they've visited.

Description: Inspired by the Elderwood AU of League of Legends and Forest Spirit in Princess Mononoke, I wanted to emphasize the "overgrown" and "majestic" themes to the Pokemon. It's horns have changed into wood, covering it's entire face to give a mysterious aura, and also its claws to give it a stronger look. It now has wings that allow it to extend the reach to protect its territory while also adding to its majesty. Its mane and tail is now overflowing which was inspired a bit by the Willow tree in Pocahontas.
