Parallax is one of the two types of displacement, the other being tessellation. I ask because with parallax you could have created this model with just a single sided plane and it would look almost identical from nearly every angle except viewing strait from the thin side. That said this is a well done piece, just something to consider.

Cool thing about parallax, or height maps, is that they are black and white maps so they can be dropped into the alpha value of any map. In the case of Marmoset, it expects to read the height from the normal. Here's a very rough guide to parallax: [link]
I encourage you to conduct a similar test and try playing around with the parallax slider.

I never did figure out how Parallax worked in Marmoset, perhaps i should read up on it then.
