Almost 6 years later, this matches the style of icons on OS X El Capitan much better than the default VLC icon. Good work. If you can make a Retina-ready icns with a 1024x1024 size, that'd be even better.

That's one nice cone icon, especially for a practice work
As AP-GRAPHIK said, the perspective isn't exactly correct, well it could be if the cone was flattened (cars are known predators of cones

I think there is something strange with the white lines that doesn't seem right, not parallel, a problem of perspective as always with this kind of icons

I did the same with my candy icons, I know they're not perfect but it may be better to start new things and go on, doing new things is a good way to learn ^^
