I have to ask, did you ever hear about the Soviet Cuddle Rats, or their counter parts, the Soviet Attack Rats? Weeeiiirrrd experement.

It was a breeding experement, no harm to the animals, just selective breeding. They selectivly bred rats that showed signs of dislike for humans together and rats who showed signs of liking humans together. For something like 63 years. Actually pretty short considering how many years we've been breeding cows and horses.
By the end of this the rats who were bred to dislike humans really disliked them. If a human walked into the room they would throw themselves at the bars of the cage to try and tear him or her apart.
The ones who were bred to like humans got floppy ears, mottled coloring, and would run up to the bars of the cage and make noise to attract the attention of any human who walked into the room.
I don't know what has happened to the various rats since then, but I have to admit to kinda' wanting a cuddle rat. I'm kinda' scared of the attack rats.

I actually have a broken black tan as well, except mine is much more black, and much more tan. I'm hoping to breed her once she's old enough and get offspring more like yours. They're beautiful

My initial reaction to animal shots is "How cute" but then I stop and think.
It's a great shot, well balanced and such.
I also quite like how bright it is.
