(Pssst...the download looks a lot prettier :3 )Wow, this was really rushed.
This wasn't originally even supposed to exist; I would have been doing a self-portrait (which is half-way done), but there would have been no way for me to finish it on time. So I had to think of something else. Fast. (This was handed in today, haha)
Thus after a weekend and one day (which turned out to be from 10am to 3 am this morning)...it was "done".
I can't say I'm completely satisfied with it. While, yes, there's not much more I could do, I'm happy with the fact that I've learned a lot about using colored pencils, lighting, etc. etc. from this. Plus, it was fun. And that was a great plus. I loved seeing everything come alive.
However, at the same time, I'm disappointed with how I approached it. I really feel I could have done a better job with the lighting (more contrast would have been nice) and did away with the moon somehow (maybe make it smaller), and even push my technique a little further.
But yeah, I'm glad I did this. And just in time for Halloween!

Wow, this is seriously like, one of my favorite pieces of yours. I just how each pumpkin is so unique and yet, at the same time, very unified. I also really love your sense of style, his outfit is brilliant and fits in perfectly with the rest of the piece. I'll probably rant more in class, but yeah.

The color choices and lighting are superb.
Sure it could be better, but EVERYTHING can be better. I lurve it (especially the tiny details that bring the scene to life, ie the different faces in the pumpkin, the crow/bird, the pumpkin staff, I could go on..but i'll stop here
