Also really old stuff (like 2-3 years ago. Seriously.)I had so much frustration issues with this, no kidding. I wanted to throw this against the wall, stab it a couple times, and then cry like a big bawling baby the entire time xD The only thing that saved my ass was the dark corner, where I pretty much went crazy. It was my first really successful piece though, so I guess it's all worth it. (It has too much blending in with my finger though! That's not a good thing)

And trust me, I still can't do it. The only reason this came out was because the teacher made SURE I finished it, and made sure it was looking good, and wouldn't let me go onto the next project until I finished this peice of crap (and damn, did I want to get it over with LOL) I'm sure you can do it though C: All it takes is a lot of pain and tears and frustration and a couple of long, miserable weeks LOL

Trust me, I didn't think I did either. I whined and bitched and moaned pitifully, and I think the teacher hated me (until I showed her what I was capable of, but she still didn't like me xD).

LOL my teacher got pretty frustrated with me too because of how i complained so much on pencil stuff
so he finally moved me to watercolor and i dont complain anymore 8D

Hahahah, Oh god how I can relate. I stopped complaining so much when she moved me to oil pastels, where I could actually use COLOR xD And that turned out pretty good too, so she was happy xD What did you draw in pencil stuffs?

OH GOD! like first it was the basics, like shapes... I HATED SHAPES.... cones, spheres, cubes, etc
and then he moved me onto still life. omfg, I never thought I could hate bottles and flowers so much in my life OTL THEN he moved me onto animals and ooooh my goddd it was the worst. I hated drawing stupid cats and dogs and the worst was a lion and his stupid mane. OTL
When he moved me onto paints and stuff, I loved it so much because it was so much easier and more free, I guess.

Hahaha, I laughed so hard reading all that xD I did everyhting you did up to till the animals. We never did animals, but we did loooooooots of stupid cones and shapes and fruits. I spent 2 weeks on doing these stupid boxes and an apple and an orange and some girl was like "hey I think you could fix this and this and this" and I was like "Please, please... just let me do this... I'm about to rip this apart already, and I'd just like to finish and get this over with..' And she was like "Ooh...okay' Hahaha, oh god I was so bad LOL

when I was working on a cube box thingy, I remember my teacher was telling me how to use the pencil and how to make it better and i was like "oh, okay, got it :]!" and right as he walked away, I went straight back to doing it the way I did before LOL I fail

I always thought of him as being very concentrated or thoughtful in his playing, but... now that you guys mentions it, I can see how he'd look sad too xD that's amazing

WWWWWOW! *_* I seriously commend you for being able to draw still lifes, especially the coloured pastel one (which I have yet to comment on lol) You say your blood, sweat, and tears went into this? Well it definitely showed!!! I especially love how you're able to create textures with a simple pencil-- just goes to show that it you're a true artist by being able to work with any sort of medium!!!
I love the composition too, it's quite magical/earthy. Looks like something you'd see in a garden with the elephant and toad statues (and I love how you gave the violin its texture and shading!!!) And how you gave it every little detail, like the veining on the leaves, and the curves and grooves in the fabric, and even the little placement of the leaves and that little pebble in the bottom right end really gives it a feeling of whole-ness (if that's even a word.)

Out of all the things I've done, this is definitely the peice that got me all emotionally frustrated and raging for sure! I'm glad it does show though 
Thank you <3 And yeah, I wanted to potray something magical with toys and animals, as if at night, when no one was watching, they'd move and sing and dance and drink coffee all on their own. But strangely, I'm finding that a lot of people actually see something depressing or sad about this, and I've never thought of it that way before xD
And let me see what else I can post up that's not fugly as hell hahaha
