Just out in France is issue #1 of the new gothic magazine, Bella Nolita. Vampirus maximus! XDI've been working with Fabrice Sapolsky to create characters who decorate the mag and who also feature in their own new comic, written by Fabrice. It's much like the fabulous Jessica Jung does for the Princesse Miya magazine that I've guested in. ^_^
Here's page one of the comic. We wanted to go for something a little different and stylised. I've been really enjoying coming up with outfits for Lola! ^_^

this looks gorgeous! usually i'm not too fond of panel-border-breaking but i LOVE the guy's outstretched hand coming out like that! i might have to try something like that in my own work...

mmm, I wanted him to really seem as though he was reaching out to shake her hand, rather than just holding his hand in front of him...and breaking the panel border seemed to get it across ^_^

Oh man, that limited colour palette is so so nice! ...Kind of wish I understood French better. I've forgotten most of my GCSE French now ahaha!

Yeah, I tend to go for cel-shading myself, and it does look good with your work generally, but that soft shade does look good too!

France is so ahead of us in so many ways...seriously. I'm so jealous! I actually don't speak French, to my shame! But luckily I get to work from English scripts before they're translated ^_^

Gawd, I know! haha. I was lucky and got to watch quite a lot in Italy when I was younger. At least we had Ulysess and Mysterious Cities of Gold over here, haha
My marvel pages are not quite as stylised as this...and will probably look quite different because of the colours - I can't wait to see what the colourist does with it! ^_^
But it won't be a million miles off as it's still my work.
