◊Hailey-Hailey disease is a genetic disorder that causes rashes and blisters on the skin, usually on folds of the skin, but also in large areas of skin. The blisters sometimes get infected and raw which causes discomfort and a sort of gross and icky look to the skin. The only real way to help it is to use tons of antibacterials to keep the blisters from scarring and hurting too much.

Jerome is extremely ambitious and has, or had, many plans for herself for the future. She still enjoys thinking of said plans and has hopes of fulfilling them, possibly. She is courageous and believes in fighting for the underdog. She has a large enthusiasm and gets excited easily, eccentric almost. She is rather friendly, able to get along easily with her peers and make friends with just about almost anyone. She is open-minded and loves hearing new ideas. She knows a good leader must have all these traits in order to keep her team on track. She also has a good sense of humor and enjoys making bad puns at inappropriate moments.

On the other hand, Jerome is rather guarded. She doesn't like talking about herself, being a rather secretive of her past and some of her present. She can be rather rude and blunt, being that she doesn't have a mouth filter and tends to speak her opinion. She relies on her gut and always follows her gut. She isn't very good at listening to logic, but she can always rely on herself to make a somewhat decent decision. Her get hasn't failed her yet. Though she's friendly, it takes a long time for her to fully trust people and open up, making her suspicious. She is also on the immature side probably trying to compensate for something.

History:
Jerome was born the youngest of 5, all girls. Her father was somewhat extremely desperate for a baby boy in the family, being the owner of a rather successful business and somewhat old fashioned in his ways, he wished to pass on the family business to his first born son. He tried nearly everything, but alas 5 girls. Each of those girls, aside from the oldest sister, Elizabeth, had some sort of, male name made female. Her father's desperation just seemed to show, especially since he named his final daughter Jeroma, rarely even calling her Jeroma and just sticking to Jerome, which sort of stuck.

Jerome didn't really mind, being that was how she grew up. She understood her father wanted a boy, though she didn't necessarily want to be treated like a boy, she thought her name was unique and cool. She got along well with all her older sisters (and eventually her younger brother, who had finally shown up when she was around 9 years old, "Hallelujah" -Quote Jerome's Dad) and had fun playing with her friends, she was just your average kid. She truly had an affinity for swimming and her father allowed her to pursue her dream in becoming a competitive swimmer. Jerome would spend countless hours in the pool perfecting her strokes, her favorite being the butterfly, and by the time she hit high school she was working her way towards the olympics.

When Jerome hit 18, disaster struck. She began to see sort of rashes appear all over her body. The rashes in turn would get infected and begin to bleed. She was diagnosed with Hailey-Hailey's disease and was advised to quit swimming. She was so close to racing in the 2012 Olympics, only to have her dreams crushed by this stupid condition which just so happened to make her blood go everywhere in the pool. She attempted to try to continue her swimming career with waterproof band aids, but those didn't work very well in the folds of her elbows and knees. She decided it was time to hang up her swimsuit and just give up. The chlorine irritated her blisters and the blood just made it a necessity to clean the pool more often.

Jerome was simply done for. Her grades weren't the best, so any scholarships she did have were connected to swimming. She felt as if she had no other skills or talents, for she hadn't really thought about needing any other skills or talents. She was a swimmer. That's all she was. And her Olympic Career? No way were they going to let some random athlete bleed all over their pool. Oh... the olympic sized pool... To simply dip her feet in the water... That was the dream... Jerome went through a period of depression, wanting nothing more than to be able to reach what what so close.

A few years later, her third oldest sister, Hayden, found out about a program of sleep study. Jerome had no idea what sleep study meant, but she felt she had nothing else to give to society, might as well give herself to science. She talked it over with her family and they all agreed that it'd be a good idea. She was admitted to the program, excited she could give something back to society.
