I love the flow of the kick, but background needs some work, and flow of right side is too distracting.. Good job.

I'm really digging the flow in this piece; it looks nice and fluid in accordance with the render. I really like the effects, and the coloring is great. I feel it could have used more emphasis on lighting, however. The lighting is pretty decent as it is, but I feel it could use more. I think this piece is lacking a definitive light source from which you can branch all the lighting out from. In your future work, try and remember to keep a natural spot open in the background for a more prominent light source. It seems like you're into smudging; I recommend smudging some spots around in the background (maybe like a circular "opening" of sorts) where you can put some light sources and make some natural and more dynamic lighting. This would also help add to the depth as well.

Overall this is an awesome piece.
