Description
This is a closeup of a muslin bag embroidered with cotton floss.This used to be in the scraps gallery, but some folks like it for its own sake so it's moved to the regular gallery.

I chose (but did not design) the pattern and the colors to use, and then I embroidered the bag.

wow, the stitch on the salamander bodies (is that herringbone?) really makes it look like they have scales.

Thanks. Technically the stitch used is closely related to the herringbone stitch, though the book referred to is as a leaf stitch.
