Description
Cubone is a strong pokemon of the ground type. It is awkward in appearance, because it wears a sort of 'helmet' on its head, which in reality is overcalficied bone that grows OUT of its skull to better protect its head. It's believed they evolved this feature in order to protect themselves from the rocky conditions in which they live, which are mostly at the feet of mountains, inside the mountains, under the ground, and sometimes in the forest. Cubone are very territorial, and are taught by their parents to fend for themselves at a very young age. They also wield bones, which they throw at their enemies. It is unknown where they get these bones, but Cubones and Marowak collect them, and they seem to stockpile them in their colonies.
Cubone are usually loners, and they don't live in a defined group. Cubones and Marowaks always protect each other, no matter where they come from, or what 'clan' they belong to.
Cubones also emit a strange cry at night, and shed tears. There is an old legend that states that Cubone wears its dead mother's skull, and cries for her every full moon. It is now known that this is Cubone's actual head.
