Edit PUAHAH. I just realized his right hornis bent in the wrong way XDD It's like floating next to his head. I'm too lazy to change it though :c

This drawing was a random attempt
to draw one of my char with a nose and I think it worked pretty okay.
Something about his horns is really off. I redrew it couple of times but I couldn't fix it. Need more practice~
And it's my first attempt to draw man with muscles. I tried but it didn't work out so I just cropped it off to his shoulder xDD

Muscles are tough. I had to study a Burne Hogarthe Dynamic Anatomy book and then invent a creepy sub-human character thing just to practice decent male anatomy. D:
(His name is Mr. Teeth, by the way. That character I invented. XD )
Besides, I think you did a good job, considering it's so far out of your usual style.

I love the character design. Probably because his hair style reminds me of one of my key character's hair when I first started designing him, haha. Really though, it looks original and I'm hoping for more of him.
And if you want to know how to draw muscles and such, ask me. I can make a tutorial just for you. Just in time for Christmas. (But first I'd like to see your attempt. It might look alright.)

left one at the base.

They look great, I think it's just positioning. If you want them near the top it's fine, but you have to make sure they don't attach higher than his scalp, like they're just stuck in his hair. If they're lower, they should either be right on his forehead (though these are too big for that) or yes, just behind his ears. Think of one of those weird arrow-through-head headbands. It depends on the look you're going for ^^ The design itself is flawless, just keep trying. You're a wonderful artist <33 Try this for reference (not mine!!):

Overall, this is very well done! For serious, the nose turned out better then you make it sound.
After you mentioned the horns, I looked at them and...
(This is probably incorrect) his right horn may be a tad too big for perspective.
