Overall, this series of works is quite an impressive blending of mediums.Β A very good job has been done with giving the photography portions an almost oil-painting-like quality.Β One question about this particular selection though:Β Having personally seen this sculpture in the Louvre, i would note that from the other side there is a particular aspect to it which many who see it find rather jarring and unexpected.Β Is there any chance you might at some point create a hybrid work like this one showing the view from the opposite angle?

Thank you for an interesting comment!
I know the other side of this statue, but it seems to me not so important. Personally I feel in it the idea of female beauty, not of bisexual nature.
So I would not probably try to create an alternative variant you mention.

Wonderful concept. It works and make the viewer think about the picture which is not easy to achieve.
Technically good, not so sure on the lighting which is not consistent in the upper and lower Part of the picture.
I would very much like to see if this idea would work as an improvement: Β light between the life and the stone model. Real model positioned on the lower end of the picture, Stone statue on the upper half of the picture. So the light will be more consistent, shining from the middle. The models would lay back to back then.
One additional thought on colors: Other than in most other pictures in this great series here the stone has more color. This reduces the distance/ contrast between model and stone statue as the color to b/w contrast is reduced. Its ok, if intended to show how near life and stone are.
The statue has her eyes closed (dreaming?), other than the model. This could also be used to make the real model a dream of the statue in a slightly altered composition e.g. statue in color, model b/w and with some blur effect like in a dream.

Thank you so much for your deep comment! I really appreciate it, as well as your advises.
I collected this series for 3 years, so its concept was not always the same. Sometime I wanted to underline the contrast of cold stone and warm body, in other cases (like here) I tried to show the marble "live". Also, sometime I made compositions so to say "decorative" and symmetric, just to make the whole picture more attractive to an eye
Light for sure was the most difficult part, because in the museum one statue can be statue is illuminated by several light sources of quite different color temperatures...

I have to say, that was a very clever take on the classic statue. Well done.
