This was originally going to be for the monthly challenge, but I didn't read the rules before starting on it and by the time I was finished and checked them, I was already content with what I had, so this is just coming out as its own thing. I'll come up with something else for the challenge later.Buttercup
Not sure it's considered clean enough for wyns, so I won't be counting any for the time being.

Adoption wouldn't be totally out of the question, if that was her parents intention upon returning, but is it adoption if it's her original parents?
Thank you, the original ending was about how the world toyed with him and he would not let it happen again, which either comes off as determined or sinister. I couldn't pass up the chance for an Icarus reference though.

See, now there in lies the conflict storming in Icarus's mind. On the one hand, he can try doing the only other thing he can think of to become stronger to protect anyone that would come close. On the other hand, he could push people away so he's not hurt again if he loses them. Even a simple hug is a struggle of choices.
