EDIT: I'm aware the full view isn't working. Apparently it's different for everyone. Wasn't showing up for me either till a few minutes ago so I'm gonna attribute it to DA being stupid yet again. Did this while waiting for the S13 folks to get back to me about the next packet.. going to toss in into the scrap pile later.

Oh yes it's really difficult to not be called a "copy cat" nowadays... 
A big problem for example is the creature "Ninetails" which originated from Asian folklore. I can't even turn my ass around and see someone commenting "You copied that from Naruto!" on someones work. I've seen five companies using the concept now. And people will always connect the dots as if they take the concepts from each other.Β

It's always a challenge dealing with "those" kinds of people on the internet.
You just want to "fix" them and write fully detailed responses in order to correct everything that is wrong without appearing as some asshole like M. Knight did venting about his critics in a movie. When I start creating my games I know I'm going to run into this people and I'd feel it'd be a very good idea to break those habits.
You just have to let your art speak for itself and understand that everyone will see it in their own way.

Im exactly the same!!! people compare my work to twilight... and i;m all: OH NO, I tottally ripped of twilight, considering there vampires, REGARDLESS THAT THE STORY IS COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT!!!!!! funny comic, it is really well drawn and I do agree people saying you ripped off this is,ripped of that gets quite ridiculous, lol i mean the bible and all mythology have been around for ever there all free game in my opinion.
This image was made 7 years ago so I doubt you care or are going to see this, which is fine but I just wanted to state my opinion, I do think your were a tad bit harsh with fma, I've only read the manga so I don't know how the original anime was(because assuming you know the original anime is nothing like the manga) but I think in the manga they have fairly well-fleshed out characters who have good motivations and reasoning but everyone's free to their opinion so I don't mean to offend.

You know, even as somebody who actually ended up liking the FMA anime, I understand where you're coming from. It's never fun when somebody assumes that your works only rips out from some popular show regardless of medium, when you may have been inspired by the same thing that may have inspired the work you are accused of "ripping off". Also, why do many people feel the lines between "inspired" and "ripped-off" where so muddled on the internet?
