LISTEN. I DON'T CARE HOW CRAPPY YOU FIND THIS BECAUSE IT IS 66 DAYS OLD.
If you see many mistakes there, fine, go and correct them, because I think this is one of your best pieces. Damn, it is...amazing.
Whereas the motive itself is rather simple, the professionality of the colouring and the correctness of the outlines is remarkable.
Sadly I obviously was incapable of explaining what I meant about the way you drew the teeth, was I? This would still be one thing I would consider to be something like a flaw here.
Apart from that...there is only a long list of positive aspects. Let's see whether I find anything negative to say when looking at this artwork for some minutes.
The anatomy and perspective is very good, I think. The front hand should be a little bigger, though. There was this picture in which you asked whether it still looked like the IZ-style and I said the head was still a little too edgy. Your overall style has a lot of dynamic lines and round forms, so it did not fit. The way you drew this fits VERY well to your style in my opinion, because it inherits these elements I missed in that other artwork.
You know what? I love the soft glow of the PAK. It gives the whole picture this interesting kind of touch...there is not only this awesome, impressive and neatly-drawn lightning, but also this other small light source in a warm colour, contradicting the cool blue. It creates some kind of tension.
I only wonder where the red shine and these two reflection-spots on her collar come from...
Her clothing...how you coloured it...is just...marvellous (I use "awesome" too often lately). You look at it and know how it must feel, and you see the cloth of her sleeves is another one than the blue clothing.
The metal reflection on the PAK is one of the best things as well.
Her eyes look...sexy.
Her skin is a little too shiny, though...I think. It would have been a better contrast if it would have a little, just a little less reflecting...but this is not really a mistake, either.
Really...I love it.
You became so good since the day I faved the first picture of yours. I am impressed by your fast development and the quality of your newest artworks, your ambition and the rising artistic niveau of yours. Bravo.

I'll rip my hair out reading this.
The teeth, bah! They don't even look like they're shaded either.. I did shade them, but the black lines.. yuck! I'm glad I'm trying now to avoid them. But ahh.. I don't know if I told you, but I asked my friend afterwards and she helped me with the teeth a little, because after linearting, it still looked wrong to her.. we're both wrong, still
Anywho.. I'm looking at a photo of a toothy smile now (this on [link] ).. ugh.. I still don't know the different between that and the picture.
Ahh, you know how giddy I feel when someone describes my work that way? About what types of lines it is, what it is? Rather then just saying what I am good or bad at, getting that kind of analysis is woooonderful to me. I'll tell you that now, I'll probably wont be game enough later.
I noticed the roundness I tend to have.. I tried to draw that kind of the kind of more edgey look that ~InvaderSaik has.. it's so beautiful and clear cut, but my natural instinctual drawing style makes it hard to make it like hers.
This style, the more realistic, I like. It's a style I don't have to worry is too IZ looking. At the moment, trying to develop my own cartoony style that isn't IZ or anime.. still need to fix this.
...haha, I know so much about the forward facing hand now XD It bothers me a lot its size. I'll see if I still have the Working file for it, because I think I will fix it..
The two pin lights on the PAK and collar?... nothing. But you know what, back then, still learning about all the details on colouring, I just assumed pin lights just appeared. Now I know it's actually a tiny reflection of the light source 
My personal favourite part of this (oh yes!), is definitely the coloured glow. And how it just suits her skin and lightening so much! That and her tunic-dress.. which I just wish I could have! It's material looks so refreshingly cold, yet light and comfortable.. not all the time do I get to get a material the way I like it exactly. Like with the most recent picture of her, she's got that same blue dress, but that time the material, I don't like that much. I like it enough, but not as much as this one.
(Awesome is overused by so many others.. don't follow what those silly people do! Though, it's a good word, yes.)
I like the eyes too. Though I wish they were less harshly linearted.
Well! With that picture of Vai I drew recently, I've tackled the shininess problem quite well I think. In this one, she looks too smooth and plastic, but on my newest she looks more natural and soft.
Really, your harsh and kind words, I appreciate them all (: I remember being so embarrassed after each fault was mentioned.. I just felt so stupid.
But the next time, those horrible embarrassments, I remember when I sketch "Ohhhh.. they said that the expression was so stupid looking, I have to fix that... yes, and the back of the knee DOESN'T look like that at all.. and that's right, I'm bad at foreshortening the arm..".
Those things, even if they sometimes hurt my fragile little artistic bone for 20 minutes or so.. they stick. Those negative things do stick, but I push them into making something good once those imperfections are smoothed out. Never will I think a critique from you, or anyone else, never goes unappreciated.
It's like non-anaesthetic surgery! It hurts having it done, but it makes something so much better later. Especially anatomy in this case ;D
My personal artistic pride, it comes and goes. Ambition, I shan't lose.
And to date, you have been my biggest help. Where where you 5 years ago?!

It's black, fuzzes easily, suffers a hair straightener almost every week, and terribly curly. Not too much missed! Besides, when I was born the doctor said I have something called a "Hollywood Head". Perfect head. Even when I shaved it, it will look GOOD.

Yeah, around now. I have many many more sketch practices piled up inside a folder on my chair, there is far more improvements in there then I have to submit on dA. You'll be seeing the "cream of the crop" if I ever like them enough to do digitally.

Yep! Some days, when the weather is just right, my hair will be fairly "straight" for it's curliness. Normally though, it's only curly once it reaches a certain point, otherwise it's straight. Like in this picture [link] (I'm planning to do a side portrait on my head sometime soon.)
Nope, never did. I very much like long hair. Anyway, once I shave my head, I'll get an unattractive afro when it grows out, I know it

I also, really love the coloring. Very sleek, glowy and gah. It's delicious! I know I can just taste it through my eyes. GAH. STOP BEING SO AWESOME.
Anyways, I seriously love the aura coming from Vaika. It's about damn time you drew her cause I missed her. 
I can also tell her shirt is rubber this time. It's very believable material. I mean just look at the lighting and shading!

The improvements, yesserie! I'm trying to get more anatomical with things I do now. I'm so glad you admitted fully I sucked at anatomy, because that gave me the kick that I wasn't as good as people said. It explains why I can't look at my old stuff again!

This is a very interesting looking character 8D I love the effect you had with the lightning and the Irken's expression ^^ I usually hate the look of a round headed Irken, but somehow you pulled this off in a way that I like it. I think it's the overall atmosphere of "dark and dangerous" that makes me like it ^^ (You know I like dark and dangerous, yeah?)

Yeah, the SAI file XD You can look at the drawing bit by bit. I think doing that makes it so much easier, it's just like as easy as turning on and off each individual layer. (You can even draw moustaches on the drawing if you want XDDDD) I'll email it to you sometime this week C:

Okay, the lighting and background are just amazing.
And I love how the eyes look (although they are pretty narrow). There's something about them that just seems to POP, you know?
And making her head a more roundish shape really makes her seem more unique than most irkens with their squareish/diamond heads
